The Wildlife of Paradise Farm: Why do habitat surveys?

The past three months at Paradise Farm have been very busy as Farmer Frog appreciated volunteers at July’s potluck, the Black Bear family grew and thrived, and people planted, harvested, and ate food together. Potluck attendees took a tour of the farm to see how Farmer Frog is bringing the farm site back into agricultural use with practices that support the Paradise Valley ecosystem.

Volunteer to support school gardens this summer!

Want to get involved and help support school and community garden education and healthy eating?

School’s out and they depend on Farmer Frog volunteers to help maintain their gardens through the summer! We are in serious need of summer volunteers at several of our garden locations and at our Farmers Market booth in Everett.

Volunteer Highlight: Justina Kraus

If you’ve volunteered on a Thursday at Olivia Park Student Garden, you’ve likely met or seen Justina and her two daughters, Jasmine and Violet. Justina is usually wrist deep in compost and weeds, or helping kids plant seeds, while Jasmine and Violet do crafts, homework or come up with a new garden game to run around and play with the other kids.
