Tenisha Anderson is our Garden Coordinator for the Muslim Association of Puget Sound (MAPS). At MAPS, she organizes participants—youth and children, families and individuals—to ensure that everyone gets a turn in the garden, makes sure plants are maintained and crops are harvested as needed, and schedules garden activities and programs around growing and eating food with the community at the mosque.
Tenisha finds that this world is in dire need of change, especially when it comes to what we eat. She joined Farmer Frog because she shares the organization’s passion for bringing gardens to children and schools. Tenisha believes that hands-on learning inspires and engages us—and brings smiles to everyone involved. Tenisha loves to take in all that this world has to offer her: traveling, trying new foods, and being actively involved in her community.
